FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS

DOES MY PARISH QUALIFY?

Yes! Every decision we make has ecological implications, so every parish can be a climate parish no matter how large or small…whether you have settled clergy or not!

ARE THERE RESOURCES AVAILABLE NOW?

Yes! We are encouraging parishes to enroll in One Home One Future immediately. Through that larger organization, you will receive general resources for engagement in your parish.

For more focused Episcopal resources, we can offer the Season of Creation resources available here. We will have more resources available in the fall of 2024.

WHAT ARE THE LEVELS?

The practices in each Pillar are divided into four levels. A congregation moves through each level in order and becomes progressively more engaged with the community.

Congregations should move through the levels in order, beginning with prepare.

The Levels are: Prepare, Plant, Grow, Harvest.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?

Open enrollment in the Path is scheduled for the fall of 2024. At the moment, we are offering a Pilot version of the program to a small number of parishes in Province One. Please check back with us in the fall of 2024!

WHAT ARE THE PILLARS?

The pillars (Pray, Learn, Act, Advocate) provide the structure of the Path. Each pillar is equally important and guides congregations through practices and ways to engage in Creation care at a local level.

It is encouraged for congregations to move through the pillars in order, beginning with pray.

The Pillars are: Pray, Learn, Act, Advocate

HOW DOES A CHURCH MOVE THROUGH THE PROGRAM?

Once the program is open for general enrollment, we will have a process for parishes to move through the levels guided by a trained Companion.

Each parish will have a different path because the climate crisis affects us differently depending on our ecological context.
