JUSTICE FOR ALL CREATION

Environmental justice is fundamental to all we do. There can be no meaningful faith-based climate action that is not also just and equitable to the fullest extent possible.

Every action should consider who will benefit and who will pay the costs, and as far as possible should consider unintended consequences and their effects on others. Climate action that is just is also inclusive, giving the strongest voice to those most affected.

JOIN OUR MISSION

An Episcopal Path to Creation Justice (the Path) is a project of the grassroots Creation Care Justice Network (CCJN) of the Dioceses of Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts. We are inspired by the call of the Episcopal Covenant to Care of Creation for dioceses to develop contextual resources for Prayer, Formation, Advocacy, and Action, as well as by programs from ecumenical partners such as the UCC Creation Justice Churches and UU Green Sanctuaries. This program both equips parishes for real environmental changes and also supports them in providing the prayer and theological education out of which deep transformation occurs.

We are currently working with over 10 congregations in New England in a pilot program. We hope to offer the Path to the wider Episcopal Church and other denominations in the Fall of 2024.
